10 Hair Products I Use on Repeat

Hi friends! I’d be lying if I told you I use the same products every single time I do my hair. Some stylers give me more definition while others give me more volume, but I use these 10 products and tools on repeat no matter what look I’m going for!

I’ve listed these somewhat in order of my hair routine! Note that all of these products are curly girl friendly (meaning no sulfates, drying alcohols, parabens, silicones, etc.) and are oriented for those with wavy and curly hair. That being said, many of these are great for naturally straight hair types, like the scalp scrub, wet brush, and mask!

10 Hair Products I Use on Repeat

Lather Avocado Mint Foaming Scalp Scrub – The first time I used this scrub I absolutely loved how my hair dried! Lots of volume and shine, but of course, I was skeptical. After using for the last few months I’m no longer skeptical! This stuff is so good! Removes product build up to increase volume, and hydrates and soothes an irritated, dry scalp. Instructions say the scrub can be used on every wash, but I’ve been limiting to every other wash.

Bread Beauty Supply Gentle Milky Hair Cleanser – Silky soft and creamy, this shampoo is lovely to use! I creates a beautiful lather without any sulfates and is full of hydrating oils like avocado, coconut and argan. Your hair will feel hydrated, not stripped, after using!

Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair! Mask – If you buy one mask, buy this one! It’s made for ALL hair types (not just curls and waves) and adds so much hydration to dry locks! I use this in place of conditioner for every other wash. (Use MELISSAF for 20% off at Briogeo.com!)

Wet Brush Shower Detangler – Curly girls, if you don’t already know, brushing/detangling your hair in the shower with conditioner is so much better for your hair than dry brushing! You’ll shed less and keep your curl pattern in tact. This brush is my go-to – it’s gentle and won’t snag on knots and tangles. Plus, it has a hook end so you can easily hang on your shower head.

Kitsch Microfiber Hair Wrap – A must for anyone with um…hair! Having a good hair day starts in the shower and the way you dry your hair immediately after stepping out of the water is so important. Using a gentle microfiber towel or wrap is the nicest thing you can do you for your hair after showering. It won’t rough of the cuticle and cause frizz!

Bounce Curl Leave-in Conditioner – If you haven’t tried Bounce Curl’s products, you are missing out! I could recommend nearly everything on their site, but if I had to pick one products, it’s the leave-in conditioner. It’s the only leave-in I use and I love it because of the lightweight texture. It’s full of rich oils, but won’t weight hair down. (you can use MELISSAF10 for 10% off the entire site!)

Fekkai Shea Butter Collection Gel-Creme – This product is relatively new in my medicine cabinet, but I haven’t been able to stop using it since I got it! Now that the temperatures are rising and there’s more humidity in the air, I’m liking a bit of a looser wave with more volume, and this product helps me nail that look. It’s more of a cream texture than a gel, so keep that in mind if you try this one out.

XMONDA Wavetech Foam – This product is thinner and less sticky than a mousse (which is why I love it), but still holds hair and helps coat curls for lots of definition and minimal frizz.

The Innate Life Rose Oil Elixir – Hair oils have become my best friend for taming frizz and adding shine! I love this one because it’s light enough to layer on throughout the day. It also contains 14+ natural oils and is silicone free (woo!). If this is a little too pricey for the amount of product, try Bread Beauty Supply Hair Gloss!

GHD Helios Dryer + Diffuser – I had been using the same dryer for the last 5+ years and saw no issue with it until I tried out this dryer…it cut over 10 minutes off my dry time! If you’re someone who uses a dryer regularly you know how MAJOR that 10 minutes can be. The diffuser bowl is also a great size! I have a lot of hair and it held it nicely while drying.
