If you follow me on IG you’ve probably seen me wearing these Donald Pliner boots NON-STOP. Particularly combo-ed with my similarly colored Angel Roi bag.
I’m a matchy-matchy gal by nature and really couldn’t help myself when I had both items in a nearly identical color. Oh and this color, what do we really wanna call it? Wine, red, purple, plum, burgundy, maroon…seriously, the list goes on!
More than just this incredibly versatile color (see all the ways I paired it below), these boots are truly a staple in my winter closet for a two reasons….
- the fit – How many of you have ankle boots that don’t actually hug your ankles? These do!! I really like a seamless line (especially with skinny jeans) and hate when ankle boots leave a weird gap of space around your ankle. They’re also incredibly comfortable overall. The leather is soft and conformed to my foot after the first few wears + the heel is just the right height.
- the details – The quilted leather adds a special detail to these boots that I love! I have a dozen pairs of black ankle boots in my closet right now. I love them, but these are truly unique in their color and design.
