This was my first year truly attending NYFW! In hindsight, I was channeling all of my extra energy and time into Florida prep/planning and didn’t even realize we came home right at the start of fashion week. Luckily, I was still able to attend a few shows and of course, see the fabulous street style throughout the week!
First, Chiara Boni Le Petite Robe featured feminine silhouettes and rich jewel toned velvets.
Second, Son Jung Wan made a statement with over the top faux fur jackets, bold plaids, and some sparkling gowns to close out the show.
Lastly, Rosa Cha! This was definitely my favorite show! Ultra feminine, sexy silhouettes and a gorgeous color palette (snow white, Bordeaux, and sky blue) The collection featured numerous monochrome looks with distinguisting textures like leather, mesh and sequins.
The fashion is as fierce outside of Spring Studios, Industria and Pier 59 as it is inside… Street style photographers snap photos of show attendees coming & going between shows and everyone is looking to catch their eyes (err lens). The fashion is bold and over the top in the absolute best way possible. It’s inspiring and oh so refreshing!
I kept my looks fairly tame, but true to my daily style. This year was all about the accessories – headbands, sunless and hair clips. I also incorporated lots of layering for that high-end feel throughout the week.
